Small components that decide whether a system is safe

In energy installations, accessories often cost little yet carry great responsibility. Undersized cables overheat, loose connectors arc, missing surge protection exposes expensive inverters and poor earthing endangers people. We supply the protection, connection and monitoring components that make solar, battery and generator systems safe, tidy and durable.

Our range includes solar DC cables with UV-resistant insulation, battery cables and lugs, MC4-compatible connectors, branch connectors, junction and combiner boxes, DC and AC circuit breakers, isolators, fuses, surge protective devices, earthing rods and kits, cable trays, conduits, glands and monitoring accessories such as current clamps, data loggers and communication modules.

Cable sizing and voltage drop

Cable size depends on current, length, installation method and allowable voltage drop. Low-voltage battery circuits carry high currents, so even a short run needs thick conductors and correctly rated fuses. On the DC side of solar arrays, long runs at higher voltage need attention to insulation rating and polarity. We provide sizing advice so your cabling wastes minimal energy and meets safety limits.

Protection devices explained

Breakers and fuses interrupt dangerous current. DC breakers must be rated for direct current because DC arcs are harder to extinguish than AC arcs. Isolators let technicians disconnect equipment safely for maintenance. Surge protective devices divert lightning-induced and switching surges away from sensitive electronics, and proper earthing gives fault current a safe path. Together they form layers of defence for people and equipment.

Connectors and mounting accessories

Reliable connectors need matching brands and correct crimping tools to avoid hot spots. We supply compatible connector sets, crimpers, strippers and labelling materials so installers can finish a neat, inspectable job. Cable clips, conduits and trays protect cabling from sunlight, abrasion and rodents.

Why correct accessories reduce long-term costs

A single overheated connector or undersized fuse can damage an expensive inverter or battery and void a warranty. Quality accessories cost far less than the equipment they protect, and they reduce callouts, fire risk and downtime. We encourage customers to specify protection and monitoring components at the design stage, not after a problem occurs, and to standardise on compatible connector families across the whole installation.

Supplying installers, contractors and resellers

Installers and developers can order accessories in project quantities, including cable by the metre or drum, connector multipacks, breaker panels and earthing kits. Tell us your project size and we will quote consistent specifications and delivery timelines.

Environmental ratings and durability

Outdoor installations need components with suitable ingress protection, ultraviolet resistance and temperature ratings. Coastal sites require corrosion-resistant fixings, while dusty agricultural sites benefit from sealed enclosures. We help match component ratings to your environment so the installation stays reliable year after year.

Spare accessory kits for maintenance teams

Maintenance teams often keep a small stock of fuses, connectors, surge protectors and cable ends so common failures are fixed in one visit. We can assemble a kit based on your installed equipment and expected wear, which reduces downtime and avoids emergency purchases at inconvenient prices.

Standards and certification

We prefer accessories marked to recognised international standards and suitable for the voltage, current and environment of your installation, and we are happy to share datasheets on request.

Monitoring accessories

You cannot improve what you cannot measure. Energy meters, current transformers, Wi-Fi or Ethernet data loggers and communication cables allow you to track production, consumption and battery state. See our guide to monitoring solar production for practical advice.
